The ‘WOH’ factor!
TV shows on courtship and marriage on camera have become commonplace today. But let me tell you, those Pati-patni shows have given birth to more such shows (guess what) on babies now. The latest offering of the idiot box- Pati, Patni aur Woh, aired on NDTV Imagine (hope it doesn’t percolate the sister channels someday).
If you’re wondering about the concept of the show- it’s loosely inspired by Baby Borrowers, but then hang on… with an irresistible mix of saas-bahu serials and desi culture, complete with females wearing empathy bellies similar to that of an 8 months pregnant woman and (how can we forget) the Godhbharai Rasams- exactly what the show began with!!!
Well, that was just how they began! The one of a kind reality show has several celeb couples who are shown feeding, force-feeding (thanks to those new mommies and daddies), changing diapers and threateningly lulling them to sleep in flood lights.
How could MISS RAKHI resist the BBC cheques—the bhartiya nari that she is!!! Rakhi is seen with her badly died school girl hair telling those watching the show – in her signature beheji lingo-“Mujhe jaan booj ke aisa bacha diya
But there is no respite- latest news- The channel won’t stop airing the show even after the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare has condemned the airing of such shows.
